VACATION WATCH PROGRAM
The Polk County Police Department offers a vacation watch program. If you live within the city limits and plan to be away for at least 5 days but fewer than 30 days, contact us and we will check the premises periodically while you are away. This service can be requested by contacting the Police Department by telephone (402) 747-2231.
If you were involved in an accident in Polk County, a copy of the Investigator's Motor Vehicle Accident Report is available for a charge of $1.00. A report may be obtained In-Person, by phone, or sent via mail, email or fax upon request.
If you are a motorist involved in a reportable accident, you are required to complete a Driver’s Motor Vehicle Accident Report within 10 days of the accident. These forms are available from the investigating officer, the police department or by an online form. The online form should be printed, filled out, and mailed to the address in red found on the form.
